Madeleine Eve
Growing up in the Rainbow Nation of South Africa, Madeleine Eve left the shores of Africa for a whole new world in the deserts of the Middle East. For the first time able to pursue her passion for all things creative, Madeleine took her opportunity and experimented with different mediums, objects and finally settled on painting.
Her paintings, which started out as watercolours, soon progressed to bright and colourful multilayered and textured paintings in watercolours, oils and acrylics as well.
Aside from the bright cadmium oranges, ruby reds and sunflower yellows of Africa she brings with her, she has added the influences of magical gold’s, sepias and translucent blues of the shores of Dubai, the verdant greens and indigo’s of Vietnam both where she has lived, to the multi-coloured splashes of the city island of Singapore. Madeleine has now moved to Jakarta Indonesia, with her family, where the Indonesians/ Balinese Art has taken up a new interest...
Madeleine has a unique ability to transfer her knowledge to others and so spends much of her time, when not painting commissions, teaching at her studio, COLOURFUL ART, in Jakarta. This appetite for teaching over the years has developed a strong and loyal following of past students who regularly stay in contact throughout the world. Madeleine’s teaching skills have also been called on by international corporations in an effort to release creativity and build team dynamics.
She has had many solo and group exhibitions, collaborated with international artists and her paintings can be found in many parts of the world. In addition she organizes exhibitions for her students creating another area for their development and confidence plus has supported many charities with her work.
Madeleine has a bright and contagious personality and this shines through in her students and in her memorable works.
